Holy Ghost Lesson

I am so excited for the new 2013 teaching curriculum for the youth found here. I was a little nervous this first week on how it would go, but I loved it! Thought I would share the quote, worksheet & hand out I used in our lesson on the Holy Ghost. Our class is so wonderful!!!

I printed a worksheet out for each girl to use throughout the lesson to write their feelings down & use as a reference.

At the end, I asked the girls, "How is the Holy Ghost like a soda can?!" When none of them answered, we discussed how it is easy to crush an empty can. But, a can that is filled is extremely difficult. When we fill our lives with the Holy Ghost, we can not be crushed by adversity!

I'd love to adapt for my primary class and change adversity to temptation.
Any chance you could send me an editable file instead of a pdf or change it and save it as a pdf and forward it? Sorry to impose. MANY THANKS!!!

  21. Thanks for the idea! I will use the tags with the cans of soda for FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) at the high school level. I'm going to laminate and encourage the kids to put them in their wallets for a time when they might feel down to remember the fun we had at the meeting and to remember that they ARE filled with the Holy Spirit, so God cares for them and is always with them!
